Brief Pause from Coaching

I feel it’s time to finally say this. I will be taking this year off of coaching. Given my relocation to Indianapolis, a new job that isn’t friendly to coaching hours, I’m going to take a break.

I’ve had opportunities and offers from some really good programs down here in Indy, but time constraints won’t let it work out. I’ve considered youth coaching, which I might do next year, but given the fact that my wife’s favorite season is the fall, we’re going to take advantage of it.

I’m looking forward to checking out some programs, seeing what they do differently. I will try to get to college practice if my schedule allows.

I want to be upfront about this. If you feel that this turn of events discourages you from Strong Football, then I don’t blame you. However, I hope my experience since 2005 is enough, along with other nuggets you’ve received here over time. In addition, I didn’t post much film in the first place, for program security reasons (aka opponent scouting our stuff), but expect less of it. I will try to make up for it in other ways.

I will be launching several new things this year. Expect the 4-3 Defense Course to only get better with some added elements like forums and new lessons. Whatever keeps working well will go into my Premium Level but still free course that I’m very excited to launch. There will be announcement soon regarding it.

If you have any connections in Indianapolis (or you are here yourself), I’d love to get a coffee sometime and exchange ideas. My email is editor[at] Obviously put the @ sign in there.

I will continue to be here on Strong Football, hopefully making it better than ever. If you ever want to write a guest post, or have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Its not a year of without football you can still watch game or analysis of the teams that you’ve been training and see another point of view of the season and add a couple of things for the football program . Same thing happened to me in the past season ( Youth Football).

I’ll be waiting the 4-3 defense course forward.
